Flip the script. Fund what matters.

We are living through overlapping emergencies: climate, housing, care, belonging. And too many ideas that could make a difference never find the support they need.

This space is for them. And for you.

Inspired by the New European Bauhaus, B4M crowdfunding supports projects that are beautiful, sustainable, and shared.

For initiatives that respond, repair, and reimagine how we live together.
From the Mediterranean and beyond.

Beyond categories: funding through the New European Bauhaus lens

At B4M crowdfunding, projects are not only organized by sectors or disciplines, but also through the values of the New European Bauhaus: Beautiful, Sustainable, and Together.

This means that a project about education can also be about collective care and participation. A journalism initiative can strengthen ecological awareness. A technology project can become a tool for social and environmental transition. Rather than separating ideas into rigid boxes, we invite projects to show how they connect communities, territories, creativity, and ecosystems.

The three NEB dimensions are not isolated categories—they are interconnected ways of imagining impact:

  • Beautiful is not only aesthetics, but accessibility, emotion, culture, and meaningful user experiences.
  • Sustainable is not only ecological transition, but long-term care for people, resources, and territories.
  • Together is not only collaboration, but participation, inclusion, commons, and democratic decision-making.

This platform itself is part of that vision. Powered by open-source technologies and grounded in values of openness and transparency, B4M crowdfunding understands crowdfunding not simply as fundraising, but as a participatory act. Supporting a project means helping shape the futures we want to inhabit together.

We especially welcome initiatives connected to open knowledge, open data, civic technologies, regenerative practices, culture, care, cooperative economies, and community-led innovation across the Mediterranean and beyond.

If you are building a project that responds to today’s crises with imagination, solidarity, and collective action, this space is for you.

Crowdfunding as democratic infrastructure

Cities are not only built with concrete, energy systems, and mobility networks. They are also shaped by the infrastructures that allow people to collaborate, care, imagine, and act together. In the spirit of the New European Bauhaus, we see this platform as part of that civic infrastructure: a digital public space where ideas can find community, resources, and momentum.

Like Mediterranean cities themselves, projects are hybrid ecosystems where social, cultural, environmental, and democratic dimensions constantly overlap.

This is why we understand crowdfunding not simply as fundraising, but as participation infrastructure. Supporting a project becomes a civic gesture. A way of collectively deciding which futures deserve to exist.

This platform is part of the Crowdvocacy tools developed within the B4M project: a constellation of participatory infrastructures designed to help communities organize, deliberate, finance, and amplify collective action across the Mediterranean and beyond.

The platform is built on open-source technologies and aligned with principles of openness, transparency, and shared knowledge. We especially welcome projects connected to open data, commons-oriented innovation, regenerative practices, cooperative economies, culture, care, and community-led transitions.

In times of overlapping crises, democratic infrastructures must also evolve. Not only institutions, but the spaces where collective imagination becomes possible.

Create your project. Fund what matters. Build futures together.
